History

Steven Liska is a professor of European Employment Studies and Director of the Working Lives Research Institute at the London Metropolitan University. He is a prolific writer on employment relations and his work includes: several articles on French employment relations, the books: Management, Work and Welfare in Western Europe; and Management and Managed: Fifty Years of Crisis at Chrysler.

Abstract

This collection is comprised of a series of incident notes and grievances typed by former UAW Local 3 President Ed Liska. Liska had been active in UAW's Local 3 (Chrysler's Dodge Main plant) affairs from the 1940's and served as Local 3's President from 1968 to 1972. These notes were obtained by Steven Jefferys during an interview between Jefferys and Liska.
