Frank Salazar was in the United States Postal Service for 32 years, and started as a shop steward at the age of 24. Salazar became a National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) union steward in 1991 and went on to serve as a full-time officer in 1995. Salazar was elected President of NALC Tri-Valley Branch 2902 (Chatsworth, CA) in 2006 and served until his retirement in 2017.
