History
The Administration Office existed for a number of years in the 1960s and 1970s. When it dissolved, its duties were transferred to other departments. Its convention planning duties were handled by the Office of the President for a time and are currently enacted by the Conference and Travel Services Department. Its other duties were assumed by the AFSCME Business Office.

Arrangement
Arranged in 2 series – Series 1 (Box 1) and Series 2 (Boxes 1-2). Series 1 is arranged alphabetically, and Series 2 is arranged chronologically and alphabetically within year, except for Credentials Committee Reports, which are arranged chronologically at the end of the series.
Acquisition
Material from this department was deposited at the Reuther Library sometime around 1975. No further deposits from this department have occurred, and the department no longer exists, but the Reuther Library
continues to act as the official repository for AFSCME International.
Transfers
Signed, original letters from Hubert Humphrey have been moved from Box 2, Folder 40 to the Reuther Library vault.
