Abstract Files for Hilberry’s tenure as Wayne President as well as some files from his position as Dean of Administration. Served as President from July 1, 1953 until retirement on July 1, 1965.

Hilberry began in 1930 at Wayne as an instructor in the English Department. In 1939, he became head of the English Department. In 1945, he was appointed Dean of Administration of the University, serving in that position until he was appointed to university president.
